On June 7, Lithuania’s Defence Ministry says the U.S. Stryker armored vehicles were en route to a drill site in Prienai district, central Lithuania, when Thursday’s crash took place. It added the injured soldiers were rushed to a hospital for examinations. No civilians were involved but a road at the site has remained closed, according to the ministry.

Units from US Army Europe take part in Exercise Saber Strike 18, the eighth iteration of the exercise, taking place across Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia in order to increase readiness and enhance interoperability between NATO allies and partner forces.
