Bodyweight training?

If I were training for boot/basic/(or even something as rigorous as RASP or BUD/s), should I use majority bodyweight training (pull ups, push ups, sit ups)? I'm thinking the answer is yes because, as far as I'm aware, no instructors are making people sit down and do bench presses. I'm also aware you want to be able to ruck 80ish lb for several miles at a time AND you want to be able to carry other people's weight, so weight training applies for sure, but what about everything else? Would just running and calisthenics be a majority of training?
