Hi everyone, with a little bit of background information, my husband is in the Navy, and granted we are pretty young (he’s 20). His chief has something out for him, and instead of talking to my husband about what he my husband did wrong, he will call his parents. My husband never gave him the information, and my mother in law said that if they didn’t pick up that his chief would hound them until they answered. I just wanted to know the legality of his chief talking to his parents like the military is middle school, and getting their information from his records like that. It just seems weird to me, and completely unnecessary, especially since he’s married and his chief wouldn’t talk to me (his chief doesn’t like me, and told my husband this to his face, and talked down about me although he’s never met me).
