Help reading Notice of Separation from the Navy (WWII)
Posted on
Hello! Non-military here. Wondered if someone might help me read a few things off of my grandpa's notice of separation from WWII. He was USNR. I've bolded the terms I don't know.
Lieutenant (D)L [I think D= Deck duties, L=Limited General Service?]
Place of separation: USNPSC(O) 33 Pine St., New York, 5, N.Y
Place of entry into active service, USNRMS, Columbia, New York, N.Y. [I'm guessing was where he did V-7 training? US Naval Reserves something?]
Service (vessels and stations served on): [includes] AdComPhilsPac-Pearl Harbor,T.H.
I've been referencing this abbreviation guide . If there's a better place to post this let me know.
Thanks in advance.
