military officer or private sector job?

I went to school for a kinesiology pre pt degree. Could not find no jobs in it, and had to work retail part time for a year. After that, I worked as a firefighter for 2 years, but I was doing around 80 hours a week because they had a mandatory overtime policy which required us to work 2 days on and 1 day and go in again some days. All that for around 35k to 40k. So, I started to study IT and got a few certs, then coronavirus hit. I got the A+, Net+, and Sec+, and the microsoft md 100 cert and eventually got into a help desk job that only pays 14 an hour, and I don't know where to go from here. I'm debating between going into the army/air force as an officer, but I don't know if I'll get the choice to work in something tech related. Other family members suggested I should just keep getting certs and then apply for more jobs in 10 to 12 months. Or should I stay at the company I'm at? I'm currently, 28 and I don't know if it would be a bad idea to become an officer at my age Which of these 3 options would be best?
