Numerical abbravtions for military unit differences between infantry and calvary
Posted on
When service members abbreviate their unit in the U.S Army, why does infantry use a dash (i.e. 1-5 Inf) and calvary use a slash (i.e. 4/5 Cav). Ive never been in the military and I'm just curious, is it a "because we are different thing" or is there a historical reason? Thanks
