Rules on using abandoned civilian vehicles while deployed overseas. (U.S. Military Specific)
Posted on
Hello, I know it's probably a dumb question, but I just came here to ask out of curiosity about the rules on operating abandoned vehicles. I'd really like to know if it's possible, illegal, or something people even do overseas. I see plenty of abandoned vehicles in combat zones or villages that once were combat zones. I wonder if bored soldiers can/have ever take an abandoned car for a joy ride, screw around on a scooter, or just even ride around on a bicycle they found. I'm aware that there's dangers such as explosive devices and being mistaken for a possible threat, but other than that, what is there rule wise to prevent you?
