My spouse and I are trying to find some answers and are not having much luck. I was hoping someone has separated recently and can offer some much needed guidance:

HHG Questions: 1. Is DPS down and when will it be back up? 2. Can we even use DPS since its our separation move or do we have to schedule through the transportation office? 3. If we're doing a DITY, we still need to let them know so that we can be reimbursed (?) 4. Do we need a DD214 to start the process? Can we start setting things up now? I separate next week

Yeoman/42A Questions: 1. How is the DD214 delivered to you? Mail, email, in person? 2. When do you get it? Don't they need to provide it in a timely fashion? 3. Does the health exam need to be completed before the member's last day? 4. If not, what is the time frame it needs to be done by and is the member free to choose which MTF they go to? I.E. can you get it done in the state you’re moving to? What if it needs to be done by the VA and they are less than cooperative? No DD214 for you?
