[Serious] Military Members of Reddit, how has using a Civilian Firm Military Lawyer helped you?

I mean this in regards to Discharge, or what did they suggest for options for discharge? Any loopholes? I know there are. Like for example if you self-refer to your official Drug and Alcohol Counselor, the command cannot take your benefits away.
Looking for what options are on the table if one were to get discharged? For context, the friend has no charges, no crimes, no NJPs, no Court Marshals, but is feeling extremely mentally unwell and has reached out to Mental Health on the taxing situation. She will get a Flag Letter of Commendation for her service and several medals due to COVID, but the work is way too much for her. She doesn’t want to hear “Just talk to someone.” Either. She says she already tried that 100 times.
