GI Bill denied by the VA, help!!
Posted on
I got a letter from the VA stating I’m not eligible to receive the Montgomery GI Bill because I am supposedly already receiving benefits from the VA which I don’t know about it. I’m currently on active duty and requested a certificate of eligibility because the school I am trying to enroll into once I get out asked for it. The only reason I’d think I am not yet it’s because I’m eligible for TA...
Do you think it’ll just be a slap on the wrist?

This is more of a question: Do those at basic (U.S.) get news from the outside world?
Posted on
Mostly the title, but I was wondering because I've been sending letters to my friend who is in basic right now in Ft. Sill, OK. I kind of updated her on recent stuff and mentioned a little bit of news in case they didn't but I wanted to ask; I looked into it but nothing online mentioned this.

Do American veterans get annoyed with eh crazy vet trope?
Posted on
I'm talking about how every post-9/11 war movie portrays vets as crazy violent people with PTSD, or how every time someone who happens to be a vet commits a crime, the media makes a big deal of their service and tries to connect it to PTSD. Does that bother you?

In the Army, which college is right for me?

Which College is best for me?
Been in a few years, and have a few years left atleast, I may continue reenlisting.
If I get out before getting a degree I will likely go guard/reserves to finish school.
Am open to seeking employment as a contractor if I stay in long enough to get a degree.
Before those choices need to be made though, and while I am still in, I am looking for the right college...
