What % of the annual military spending is necessary to ensure the security of the global maritime traffic?

So it seems to me that when people complain about the military budget the talking points are basically 2 :
1) "The military budget is too damn high!!" : This is from left leaning sources and voters
2) "The military budget is fine/too low , other countries should reimbourse the US for the provided protection" : This is mostly Trump voters, never heard this argument by GOP before he got elected.
Anyway I think people forget that the US also secures the international maritime traffic, both friends and foes (China) can count on the support of the US military in partnership with the NATO allies (so I think 90% US and mostly the remaining tradition of the British Navy)
So yeah, does anybody know what % of the military budget goes to secure the international maritime trade
