What’re y’alls opinion on military vloggers talking about the Vanessa Guillen case?
Posted on
I first learned about this around mid-May after someone posted the link to a small latina moms website. Around that time very few outlets were talking about it and the ones that were, were mainly independent vlogs/blogs. The story eventually gained more and more of a following until major news outlets were tracking it and she was eventually found.
I went on YouTube and I see that a couple of military vloggers just now released videos talking about it. I don’t have issues with military vloggers and I’d like to start one but this just pissed me off. They had the typical YouTube clickbait title and screenshot. I refused to watch them at first but then skimmed the videos. It’s really just them making accusations about what did or didn’t happen and then going into their own thing.
To me it’s just clout chasing. They’re bringing this up AFTER it’s already gained a huge following and aren’t really adding anything new to the conversation. If anything they’re taking away from it Imo. It’s something that needs to be talked about but it feels like they’re just talking about it because it’s popular.
Is it just me?
