I just met a guy who will be going off to bootcamp soon. We were partnered up at a wedding as members of the bridal and grooms party and chatted throughout the day. I really admired his aura (he seems like a solid guy and he said a few things that have made me want to change the way I do a few things for the better) and was especially taken back to hear he’s enlisted. I come from a veteran family, so this hit home. I’d like to send him a package after his bootcamp wraps up. I’d have to ask the husband/his friend or my good friend/the bride for info about how to get his address or contact info for this. Is that weird to do? And would it be weird for him to get a care package? I just know how lonely it can be, and that gifts can be really well-appreciated. Thoughts? Thanks!
