After a tour of duty overseas, National Guard Veteran Krystina Parks decided she wanted to give back to her country in a different way. Krystina made the selfless choice to donate her kidney to a stranger in need.

The United States Navy has a new four-star admiral today. And she’s quite a woman. Michelle Howard is the first woman in the 238 years of U.S. Navy history to be raised to this rank. The ceremony took place at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 and was presided over by the Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus.

The Female Engagement Team is a unique force of women who go past the gaurded security and into the streets in order to reach women that need help. These soldiers are no different than their male counterparts, but they are able to do something that, because of cultural aspects, men are not allowed to do in Afghanistan.

This Air Force veteran is on a different kind of mission.

The roles women have played in the military have evolved drastically ever since they were first able to enlist in 1942. Today lines have been erased and America's daughters are capable of fighting for freedom and liberty along side America's sons. Well done ladies, we salute you!

These women Marines have proven themselves in combat throughout the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. These women want to serve the nation just as their male counterparts do. These Marines are tough. Oorah! Semper Fi!
