Popular AFRL invention supports joint military needs with mobile medical documentation

BATDOK is a smartphone application for mobile medical documentation that replaces pen and paper records.

The Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit, or BATDOK, is a mobile medical documentation tool developed by Air Force Research Laboratory researchers that collects patient information from various sensors at points of injury, making it easier for medical professionals to document vitals, administer critical care and integrate patient data. BATDOK was recently selected as the joint integrated electronic health record for point-of-injury and en route care by Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems, an office that provides medical information technology for military operations.
