I just finished BMT for the Air Force a week ago. I had a 9T500 contract to go Special Warfare however the 350th Special Warfare Squadron pulled the plug on it because I have hypothyroidism and is no longer allowing flight med to submit a waiver for me. They left me with the option’s of reclass into a non flying class AFSC or ELS. I was wondering if I were to ELS would obtaining a 18x contract even before possible. Or a better question is would I be able to pass the airborne physical with my condition. I never had to receive any waivers from MEPS to join the military and am assuming that physical is still good.
