Guard vs Navy for becoming a PA
Posted on
Hello All,
I am 30M and want to become a Physician Assistant, and have an AA in Crim Justice.
I also would like to deploy overseas at least once which also added to my choice of either Guard or Active navy since I heard reserve navy isn't likely to deploy.
I was thinking to start as a Medic/Corpsman to get bachelors and use the time in service for the 500 hour medical requirements for PA school. Then jump into grad school for PA.
Would Navy or Guard be the better branch for this goal? What other things should I consider with navy vs guard? Thank you.
