I want to switch branches, but I feel bad and I'm not sure how to go about telling my recruiter

So a few weeks ago, I applied to join the Air Force, but was quickly rejected due to my weight. I knew that would be a problem, but I honestly wasn't expecting a flat no (though after thinking about it, I understand why), I kinda thought they would work with me to get me set up and all that while I was losing the weight. I was a little shocked and thought, "alright, well fine, Army it is", and ended talking to an army recruiter. They were all very nice and started getting me set up, and just last week drove me to MEPS to take the ASVAB, which was half an hour away, and to be honest I was all on board for the Army up until after I got back to the recruiters office.
My recruiter said he mentioned my score to the Air Force Recruiter, and that ended up reminding me of what I initially wanted to do (join the Air Force), and now I'm having second thoughts. I realized the one and only reason I made the switch was because they said I had to lose weight before I could even talk to them about joining, and that upset me. I'm losing the weight much easier than expected, and it's making me realize how dumb I was for deciding to switch branches over something like that.
I'm supposed to go in to get finger printed tomorrow, since we had trouble getting them last time, but I don't know how/when I should tell them. Obviously the sooner the better, because I don't want to waste more of their time, but I also feel bad just kinda springing it on them. Do I text/call them before the finger print, do I tell them when I go in, do I wait until a few days after? Or do I even switch branches at all? To be honest, I don't really have any strong, compelling reasons to switch, other than I've read and heard the Quality of Life is better. I just have this feeling that if I don't make the switch and go with the Army, I'm really going to regret it. Any advice on how/when I might break it to them? They've been very nice to me, and I feel awful for wasting their time as much as I already have.
