Good afternoon everyone. I currently work as an IT specialist and over the past month I’ve been going through the process of joining the military. I took the PiCAT and scored a 85 which is decent I think - the army gave me the MOS 17E as an option because the other IT and cyber operations positions had no seats for training. I ended up reaching out to a airforce recruiter and was able to get a meeting with the airforce recruiter and a space force SME for June 13th. I’m very interested in furthering my career in the cyber security space - however I just want to make sure that I’m not going to be tricked into signing anything during MEPS for the army. The army has me going to MEPS this Thursday and Friday. Should I even go? Or should I just say no and cut all contact with the army recruiter. I just want to make sure my scores are entered and cannot be erased and or changed prior to my meeting with the Airforce recruiter and Spaceforce SME. I also wanted to know if anyone really has any clue as to the differences between the branches? I know airforce and Spaceforce are better than the army but what is going to help me further my career and be the best option for a 22 year old looking to foster a meaningful future. (Sorry I know there are a lot of questions in this post)
