Recruiter wants me to lie at MEPS about ADHD
Posted on
Throwaway for obvious reasons. I was prescribed ADHD medication in middle school and was on it for maybe two weeks. I recently graduated high school and my doctor wanted me to try a different medication for college. I said fuck it why not. I well plans change and 3 months later I want to be a Marine.
My recruiter told me to lie at MEPS. Told me a work around for the MHS Genesis system. I’m torn on what to do. I don’t wanna lie, but I want to join the military without waiting however long idk. Is there a waiver I can fill out even though it has been less than 2 years? Psychiatric evaluation? Letters attesting I don’t need meds from managers, doctors, etc? High school transcripts showing I did well off the meds? I don’t know if I should trust my recruiter about this. He’s saying
“it’ll all fall back on me if anything goes wrong”.
BS you wouldn’t put your job on the line for that one recruit.
“I’ve done this before”
maybe you have. Did it work? Has anyone here ever done this? Know anyone who has done this? Any opinions?
UPDATE : found new recruiter and explained my situation. He said he’s willing to work with me and there is a way we can do this properly.
