The specific scenario I'm thinking of is this: let's say a minor uses false identification and gets away with it. Even if this is technically not possible to happen nowadays, please imagine the scenario when it happens.

If the parents went to the military afterwards, how would the military or the specific branch if it is known, respond? If they were also sent over to a battlefield or on a mission somewhere, and the mission was classified, how would they handle it.

I saw a show that is fictional, in which the parents were told basically, they can't reveal where he is and they will have him back in a few months (their best guess at how long it would take).

I was wondering what would really happen in that situation today, if someone joined and the military was told about it.
