My commander referred to my BH provider that i should do a 5-14. I’ve been in a little over 4 years. Been dealing with a variety of mental and physical issues to include multiple hospital visits for SI. With a 5-14 do you still get all VA benefits and GI bill? Is there much difference between the 5-14 and MEB? Regulation states “(b) Duration of adjustment disorder episode must be less than 6 months when separation procedures are initiated. The provider must clearly document in the medical record how the condition interferes with assignment to or perfor mance of duty. (c) When an episode of adjustment disorder has persisted for longer than 6 months and continues to interfere with assignment to or performance of duty, the Soldier must be referred to the Integrated Disability Evaluation System.” I’ve been seeing BH for these issues for over 6 months and dealing with them for multiple years. Wouldn’t that warrant an MEB instead? TYIA
