Struggling to get run time down for bt

I'm 18/f; 5'7" & 125 lbs for the standards. I work out every day with weights + cardio (have been at it for two years) yet struggle to keep my two-mile time below 19 minutes as I'm used to light jogging (2 miles/day). It's satisfactory for my demographic, but I'm always left wheezing horribly at the end. Since I started doing half-mile sprints at 7 mph to prepare for bt, I no longer enjoy running as I used to and need breaks between each half-mile. It's pretty damn bad, and I ship out in just over a week. I need hope.
