In the reserves and commander is making all of us go to an event outside drill hours even after signing out a few hours after. I was AD, so I’m used to the “voluntold” things, but I have previous engagements that I already agreed to. I have explained my situation to my supervisor, but says commander still wants everyone there. I used to drill for insurance purposes, but now I have 100% PT, reserves no longer have a purpose for me as I don’t profit much. I’m just below 10 years in total service time.

This got me thinking, is the commander in his right mind to issue an order outside drilling hours to an event that serves no purpose? I’m wondering what type of repercussions I could face. I don’t use any TA or reserve’s entitlements.
