Vet Need assistance/info bedridden
Simply put I'm a 40% disabled vet. I tweaked my back whereas I'm bedridden and can barely get up to use the restroom due to a stabbing pain every time I stand. I've had past surgery to fix this and now it's all back at me full circle. Went to the local ER and was more or less given pills and sent on my way. My elderly mother's trying to assist but can only do so...
Anyone else still stuck using the army slang after getting out?
Posted on
I personally have only been out fora little less then a year but still find my self using a lot of the slang from the military in my day to day life. “Tracking” is probably the one I use the most and the only reason I even noticed I still use it is because when I was talking to my mother the other day she pointed out that I say it a lot.
Now that I think about it I say a lot of those words a lot...

I’ve been having dreams/ nightmares of fighting zombies, trying to kill zombies or defending myself from zombies. These dreams will come whenever, if I drink or if I happen to drink some dark liquor. I can never finish the dream because I end up get woken up by my girl saying I’m fighting her in my sleeping. GI Bill for medical school..
Posted on
Hello everyone,
I’m doing some research about how to go about paying for my degree, and obviously I’m going to use the GI bill.
But, can I study in a non stem degree and then apply for the STEM extension if I get accepted to medical school?
I’m just looking at my options. Thank you!

PTSD Counseling & Medication isn’t working, need advice.

I’ve been through the VA system and community care, I’ve tried everything you could possibly think of.
Recently a severe episode of depression and a anhedonia has consumed me. Numb, and extremely hard to find the happiness I’ve had from time to time. It’s been 4 weeks now and I’m starting to lose hope.
I’ve come out of it before but this time it seems never ending.

Hey everybody I just started using the VOC Rehab program with my school/program start date on August 23rd. I double dipped with Financial Aid & VOC Rehab to use some refund money for stuff for school and home expenses. However I won’t get a refund till VA pays tuition. Does anyone know when VA pays the tuition to the program? I was certified by my school officials on August 23rd as well. Any info...
Is it worth talking to the Patient Advocate?
Posted on
So we have been begging the VA to help my 71 year old dad who started having symptoms in June. Dizziness/confusion/weird smells. Complete cardiac work, up all normal. I went with him Tuesday to try to advocate on his behalf. He had a hard time communicating his symptoms and I'm also a veteran and a retired social worker, so I went to help communicate to his primary care how serious this is. The...
