I was appalled to log in to VA.gov for the first time and notice my record of military service and was only given credit for two years of service to this nation when in actuality, I had given eleven years of dedicated service. It said on that site that if the information is incorrect that I should contact the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), which I did only to find that they hadn't had records showing that I served anytime in the military and that I needed to provide them with my DD-214's, which I have. Bottom Line: CHECK YOUR SERVICE RECORDS!.
