Hawk Missile’s warhead fell on Japanese Road off launching truck

During transport missile system near Tokyo was the destruction of one of the anti-aircraft missiles from Raytheon US production from the complex  MIM-23 Hawk medium-range surface-to-air missile.

Development of the Hawk missile system began in 1952, when the United States Army began studies into a medium range semi-active radar homing surface-to-air missile. The missile was initially deployed by the U.S. Army in 1959, and by the US Marine Corps in 1960.

The missile was also produced outside the US in Western Europe, Japan and Iran. Although the U.S. never used the Hawk in combat, it has been employed numerous times by other nations. Approximately 40,000 of the missiles were produced.

As a result of the incident no one was hurt. Upon the destruction of anti-aircraft missiles during the march under investigation and the search for the perpetrators of the incident.
