I’m joining the National Guard as an 09S and am going to MEPS in a couple weeks. I’m wanting to do BCT in October and be back home for Christmas before trying to get into OCS in the summer. When I sign the contract, does my 8 year commitment start at MEPS or does the clock start ticking when I ship off to BCT?
