A question to anyone who’s been through the recruitment process. I tried to join, enlisted, went though meps, and got disqualified for something relating to mental health, I’m no schizo or anything. Anyways, my recruiter told me to try again in 6 months even though everybody at the place said once you get disqualified it’s a done deal, you can’t serve. My question is, which is correct? For context, I will be getting out in roughly a year. I’ve already started the transition process and am looking to apply for colleges back in my home state.
My plan for now is to spend a couple months living with my family just so I can better reintegrate myself back home and not put too much stress on my finances. After around 4-6 months I’ll move out and start living on my own.

How do militaries decide to call something an Operation or not?

D-Day was named “Operation Overlord,” but the German offensive towards Southern Russia was named “Fall Blau” (Case Blue)? Both of them were pretty huge movements of troops and equipment.
Likewise, Allied offensives in Italy were given names like “Operation Bagration,” or “Operation Market Garden,” even if some of them were arguably describing similar scales and troop movements as the Germans did...

I’m so tired of seeing the men and women who risked it all having nothing. I don’t have much money and what I can give would get a sandwich and I want to do a little more. I have a hard time approaching people having social anxiety but If I had a plan it’s different and knowing that there struggles can far surpass what I can even imagine.
