Army ACFT and genders. Serious question
Posted on
So I have asked this question to many and have yet to find an answer that makes since. So here we go and bear with me-
For 10 years I have been told that women's bodies are different than males which is why we didn't hold them to the same standards. Ok I didnt understand but drove on.
The acft comes up and its gender neutral. Ok that makes since, due to regardless of gender the mos still needs to preform in the field. Ok gotcha.
But what I dont understand is how it was basically culture that we expected females to do worse physically than males. And now that the acft is in and the apft is out... what now?
So 2 options here-
1- we stop using the physical test to grade for promotion, schools, ncoer, oer, basically everything. ( which is highly unlikely)
Or
2-we use it just like the apft and its the rule to determine how good a soldier is. (Probably this one)
So my question is- in 10 years the leadership of the army will be HEAVILY heavily male dominate. Simply because there will be a very small percentage of females that can get a 13 on the run, or do 20 curls, or do 340 dl( i know plenty of females that can im just saying most cant)
So in my eyes the ACFT is pretty sexist and helps males stay in and get promoted while forcing females down and out through retention control points.
