How they motivated soldiers to march forward, especially WW2?
Posted on
Seeing some pics from the WW2, you see mostly destroyed cities, but also wide plains and some random machine guns. I dunno how many bullets these things fire up but I bet a lot. After all millions were shot back then. And I'm not sure how in the hell would I go forward. What for. I mean I can understand russians for example, they were fighting for their life, but what motivated germans? Did they believe bullets can't hurt them? Is this the reason militaries have rigid "discipline"? So they keep recruits in check? It's easier for modern day soldier, example well protected US/ NATO going against Taliban's who have much simpler equipment, so there's pretty good chance for the westerner to survive.
