I may or may not have a minor case of plantar fasciitis. I've been resting my foot for a couple months and the pain has died down. Should I start back running soon?

Back toward the end of November my right heel started having severe pain both well walking and sitting down. I had already went through basic training and was nearing the end of AIT which meant I obviously spent a lot of time standing and running for several months.
Looked up treatment options online and did things such as stretching my legs, rolling my foot (specifically the heel area) with a golf ball sized massage ball, slept with a foot brace to keep my foot at a 90° angle (I read that helps healing), and even tried rolling it on a frozen jar of jelly.
I was also prescribed anti-inflammatory meds recently and I think all of those exercises, icing, rest (I haven't ran at all in over 2 months but I have been riding my bike), and the meds have caused the pain to die down significantly. it's actually non-existent as of right now but I think that's mostly due to the meds.
I want to start running soon since I'm going to have to start doing PT tests again sooner or later. I'm sure my runtown has gone down a good amount due to me doing zero running for a while in order to rest my foot. I'm considering starting running again but I'm not sure if I should yet.
I should also note that I don't think my case is even severe. I'm not even sure if I actually have plantar fasciitis because when I went to the doctor's office she couldn't quite pinpoint exactly what was causing the pain. She narrowed it down to a hairline fracture (x-rays didn't find any of those), or bone spurs. Don't have either of those so perhaps it's just inflammation in the muscles and tendons of my foot.
My question is, with everything I've said above, do you any of you think it's a good idea to start back running again? Or should I lay off of it a little bit longer?
