If a military personnel committed treason while in the military, do they go to military prison or federal prison?
Posted on
I heard military personnel go to the military prisons if they were convicted of treason while serving, but I also heard of a few going to federal. I want to know how someone ends up in federal prison if that is the case.
What if the person is charged during his service but not convicted until he's out of the military?
For example, if an Army captain commits treason (by cooperating with someone from an enemy country's intel) and then gets tried in court, how would he end up in federal prison for the next 30 years?
Thanks in advance
