Question about acceptable use of my grandfather's division hat
Posted on
My grandfather was in the 26th infantry during ww2. My dad has a few hats, not army issued with the 26th logo on the side that he wore as a kid given to him by his father. They do not in anyway look like official issue hats. My father plans to mail me one, but before I wear it in public I wanted to ask if it was alright to do so. I found a picture of what it kind of looks like. It is beige and the logo is on the side of the hat, nothing else. Thoughts, please and thank you!
EDIT: I posted a link with a similar hat in the comments. The only difference is its wayyyy older, and the logo is on the side not front.
