Stationed at Ramstein with license suspension Question
Posted on
So I drove my vehicle under a suspended german license. It was 1 day before it was unsuspended and I was told by the German court that I will not go to jail. Probably because I am protected under the UCMJ. I was later I guess detained at a security forces squadron on base and read my rights and the article 92 paper. I was then photographed and fingerprinted and then I left. The suspension is 5 years although I am here for 2 more years MAX (3 year tour) from when my suspension began. It really ruined my experience here at Germany. I absolutely hate it. I haven’t received any forms of fees that I could possibly pay. When I was pulled over, the german cop told me that it could be 1000-2000 euro ticket.
So I want to palace chase so I can leave 6 months early and go back to the states (where i am able to drive) and go to college full time while doing part time military service. Would I run into any problems? Would this disqualify me to palace chase? The palace chase paper asks, do I have any pending civilian law violations. Would my situation constitute as that? Or am I in the clear, maybe possibly avoiding an expensive ticket. I do not plan on EVER coming back to this country.
I could possibly receive a ticket in the mail before my palace chase date comes, but I could also not receive it and leave. Hypothetically, if I were to come back (which I plan on never coming back) would I run into trouble?
