First time poster, so not sure if this belongs here or in r/Divorce, but I'm really hoping to crowd source some ideas or experiences or military members since I’m honestly just at a loss for what to do. I bumped into someone walking out of a salvation army charity shop so I said "Sorry Sir." As I did to every guy I accidentally bump into
He said it was alright, but he also said "Dont call me sir, I work for a living."
I'm curious what that means. Anyone in the royal marines (or really ANY marine corps) care to elaborate on this?

Considering Branch Switch

It's that time I never thought would come: considering a switch of service branch. Opinions and intel needed.
Currently: E-5 serving in Navy Cyber. Desired to go Navy Cyber Warrant and was planning on it until an unfortunate orders fuckup left a bad taste in my mouth and I decided to not go through with it. After this tour, I'll be at 8 years of service most likely still E-5 or E-6.
