Updated military mail system rules (intra theatre delivery)
Posted on
Hey guys,
I remember reading about a year ago that the (US) military was planning on updating its intra-theatre delivery system (IDS) rules regarding military mail to support service members who run small home businesses.
As it stands now, soldiers and their spouses are not allowed to use the military mail system for home businesses - does anyone know if this is something the military plans on adjusting?
I vaguely remember reading an interview with GEN Abrams when he took over USFK saying that was an initiative he was pushing as a way to support spouse employment opportunities in OCONUS locations so they aren't relegated to working at the PX or something of that nature if they don't want to.
The latest information regarding IDS I could find was from 2017 on HRC.Mil so I dont know if anything has changed since.
Thanks dudes!
